Newborn Baby Photography Accrington - Matthew William
A selection of my favourite images of baby Matthew William Peel at 14 days new
I recently went to meet baby Matthew for his very first professional photographs at his home in Huncoat, Lancashire. Matthew was 14 days old when I met him, a little older than I would usually recommend for a newborn photography sitting. However with his Mum and Dad reading through my session guide and taking on board the advice I provided he was a little superstar and a pleasure to photograph.
His parents had chosen a fox theme for Matthew’s nursery, so I styled some of the photographs with this theme in mind. I used a sheepskin rug, along with an apple crate stuffed with alpaca fur and wrapped baby Matthew in a rustic orange stretch wrap and my little fox bonnet. I’m sure you’ll agree he looks so adorable!
Whilst I changed the setup, Matthews mummy gave him another feed. This helped him to stay very sleepy and relaxed throughout the session, whilst keeping an eye on the room temperature to ensure he was comfortable and happy at all times.
We next used my navy blue knitted blanket for the beanbag backdrop and styled this with some matching bonnets and wraps for a contrast of different colours in the final photographs and finishing the sitting with a few family photographs of Matthew with his parents. You may recognise his parents from a recent maternity session which is also on my blog.
I really enjoyed capturing Matthew’s very first photographs. It’s a pleasure for me to create precious imagery for the family to hold onto for generations to come. Hopefully not embarrassing Matthew too much when he’s older!
