Thornton Hall Farm

Shannon and Mick were holding a Birthday Party at Thornton Hall Farm in Thornton-in-craven (near Skipton, North Yorkshire) for their son Ben’s second birthday and booked me to come along after the party to take some natural photographs of Ben playing and interacting with his family. I wanted to capture the essence of Ben being himself, exploring and playing, so I followed him around taking natural photographs of him doing exactly that.

This was the first time I had visited Thornton Hall Farm, there was lot’s going on and many families were outside having picnics and making the most of the wonderful weather on the day. If you haven’t visited before and have children, you definitely should have a day trip there, there’s so much to keep young children entertained and at only £6.25 entry per child it’s excellent value for money.

There is a large barn with slides, mini tractor rides, sand pits, a hey bale maze, small animals that children can pet (rabbits and guinea pigs) and an outdoor park which also has a slide suitable for smaller children. In addition to this there is pony trekking, quad biking and lot’s of animals to see including, ponies, cows, sheep, wallabies and Llamas and most importantly for adults -  a good cafe!
